WHERE WE ARE:

Did you know that over the past ten years the high school graduation rate in most underserved communities is under 70% and continues to decline according to The National Center for Education Statistics.

We live in an age and culture where only 17.7% of the population in the U.S. attend church on any given Sunday according to The Journal for the Scientific Study of Religion. And according to a Pew Research Study, between 8,000 - 10,000 churches closed their doors for good in 2022.

Our sons and daughters are hurting, we might even say they are in danger. They have few or no resources for personal guidance or direction as they navigate this life. And for many, HOPE is a foreign word or concept. Their reality is increased desperation that leads to rash or extreme behavior.

It is rare to hear or see a proposed remedy that might affect positive change offered in the media at large. After most reports describing the symptoms, such as high crime rates, drug addiction, or family relationship abuses; we hear the same old jargon:

-  "Something needs to be done to change this"

-  "We are use to this type of behavior in this neighborhood"

-  "We need more of a police presence around here"

-  "We need stronger penalties for crime"

We strongly disagree with the sentiment that these are our best acceptable options.

Is it possible that these self-destructive perspectives and images surrounding our communities are purposefully promoted to prevent many of our youth from ever realizing their truth?

WHAT WE OFFER:

At THE RECALIBRATION PROJECT, our aim is to build on the truth or maxim that people will conduct themselves based on how they see themselves. Their self-image is the key to their behavior.

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he” [Pro.23:7(a)]

We have researched and developed a series of workshops and curriculums to disseminate by way of community organizations, schools, churches, and other charitable organizations dedicated to the growth and development of our young people.
